ABTC holders may also use their card to enter Australia for certain non-business purposes such as tourism or visiting family and friends, subject to the applicable Australian arrangements. However, the ABTC does not provide work rights in Australia.

A standard Business Visitor visa (subclass 600) is a separate Australian visa pathway and may be more appropriate where an applicant does not qualify for an ABTC or needs to undertake activities outside the ABTC arrangements.
